A novel approach to sperm selection: Nanoparticle-based purification improves quality of Angora cryopreserved buck’s semen

نویسندگان

چکیده

The Aim: aim of the study was to investigate applicability an up-to-date method, sperm selection with nanoparticles at different temperatures (37ºC, 21ºC, and 4ºC), on Angora buck semen. Material Methods: Semen samples were collected from 3 bucks 7 repetitions each sample diluted divided into 4 groups. Nanopurification procedure applied by using a nanoparticle dose 10 μg/ml three groups 37ºC, 4ºC while in control group cryopreserved without nanopurificiation treatment. Post-thaw motility morphology parameters analyzed computer-aided analysis (CASA) fluorescein microscopy.Results: After nanopurification 37ºC total motility, linearity (LIN) (P<0.05), curvilinear velocity (VCL), straight-line (VSL), acrosome integrity (P<0.001) higher than semen nanopurified 21ºC superior terms LIN, straightness (STR) VCL, VSL, average path (VAP), wobble (P<0.001). There no significant difference between group.Conclusion: In conclusion, useful that affect fertility method can be performed as well adapt field conditions;

DL-Aspartic acid administration improves semen quality in rabbit bucks.

Recently, D-aspartic acid (d-Asp) has been suggested as being involved in mechanisms regulating reproduction activity in animals and human. In this study we analyzed the effects of DL-Asp oral administration on sperm production in the rabbit. Bucks from 60, bred in a genetic centre and used for semen production, were divided in 2 subgroups of 6 individuals. The treated group was fed with a conc...

Sperm Characteristics in Cryopreserved Buffalo Bull Semen and Field Fertility

Semen quality and its relationship to fertility are major concern in animal production. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between frozen thawed sperm characteristics and fertility following in vivo fertility through Artificial Insemination(AI). Semen samples were collected from four buffalo bulls. Semen volume and sperm concentration appeared to be significantly different (P0...

Supplemental Glutathione Improves Post-Thaw Quality of Holstein Bulls Sperm in a Nanomicelle based Extender

Adding antioxidants to semen extenders could reduce post-thaw sperm damages. Glutathione is an important intracellular antioxidant that has free radicals scavenging properties and multiple effects on DNA and protein synthesis. In the present study, effects different levels of reduced glutathione (GSH) containing 0 (control), 1.0, 2.5, or 5.0 mM in a nanomicelle-based extender on post-thaw quali...

Sperm Nuclear Chromatin Decondensation Test : Its Applicability to Predict Fertility of Cryopreserved Semen Samples

The nuclear chromatin decondensation test (NCDT) detects the ability of the sperm chromatin to undergo decondensation following fertilization. The test does not have direct bearing with the fertilizing ability of the spermatozoa but only reflects the proportion of sperm that may swell following exposure to in vitro decondensing agents. The gross seminal parameters do not have any direct relatio...
